ANNOUNCEMENT

COVID-19 May, 2020 OFFICE HOURS

With Governor Lee’s Mandatory “Stay at Home” order being lifted effective on May 1st, Williamson County will be moving toward a phased reopening of its offices, while continuing to do our part to assist in the protection of the health and safety of our citizens and employees.

Starting Monday, May 4th, and continuing through the month of May, Department of Sewage Disposal Management office hours will be expanded to be open to the public on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week, still by appointment only to the extent possible. As such, issuance of in-person permits and the in-person payment of fees associated with the Department of Sewage Disposal Management can only be done by appointment, and only on Monday (May 4, 11 and 18, 2020), Tuesday (May 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2020) and Thursday (May 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2020). Similarly, any other business with the Department that must be done in-person will only be done by appointment and only on Monday (May 4, 11 and 18, 2020), Tuesday (May 5, 12, 19 and 26, 2020) and Thursday (May 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2020). Any business that can be conducted by phone, electronically, or by mail should be conducted in that manner rather than in person.

You may schedule an appointment by calling 615-790-5751, or by contacting the department via the internet at https://www.williamsoncounty-tn.gov/126/Sewage-Disposal.

Department employees will still be available by phone and e-mail on Wednesdays and Fridays but, will not be conducting in-person business at the office during this time. Department staff will continue to make site visits, conduct field investigations and perform septic system inspections daily.

Office patrons may be asked to wait outside or in the hallway with appropriate spacing until their turn to be served in order to facilitate social distancing. Members of the public are asked to wear courtesy masks when conducting business in the County facilities for their own safety and the safety of fellow citizens and our employees.

This process will be reevaluated weekly, with the goal (subject to change depending upon available data) of having the Department office fully open by Monday, June 1st.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.
